Cortilia: From farm to fork

In September 2024, Andrea Colombo and his team had a clear goal in mind: to bring Cortilia back from losses by 2025. The company, a pure-play online supermarket based in Milan and renowned for its fresh produce and its quality and sustainability attributes, had grown strongly during Covid, only to suffer the effects of rising inflation and changes in consumption. However, after closing 2023 with a loss of €14 million, they had made adjustments to their business model that had provided months of continued growth, and they were confident they could achieve their goal.
