Executive MBA participant profile

A program designed for leaders of change

In an increasingly uncertain and fast-moving business world, San Telmo’s Executive MBA is designed to bring about a profound transformation in the way you think, decide and act. You will learn from direct experience alongside other executives, through a practical, rigorous and highly relevant approach.

What you will take away from the program.

We do not simply deliver content. We develop judgment: better decisions, carried out with prudence and common sense.

Methodology

The Case Method. You learn by doing

At San Telmo, knowledge is not memorized: it is experienced. Every session becomes a decision-making laboratory in which real situations challenge your strategic perspective, your judgment and your ability to lead.

«A practical, action-oriented methodology that prepares you to make better decisions and carry them out with prudence and sound judgment.»

It is not simply about analysing companies, but about making decisions as if you were part of them. Debating and testing ideas with other professionals broadens your perspective.

Individual preparation
You receive the case in advance. You read it, analyse it and decide what you would do if you were the CEO. You arrive in class with a position already taken, not with a blank mind.

Before class, you meet with your assigned team of five or six people. You compare approaches, identify the critical issues and prepare for the session.

The professor opens with a specific question. The classroom divides. Arguments are tested against one another. Decisions are challenged with data. Everyone takes part.

The professor closes by revealing what the real company did and what happened next. You connect the learning to a dilemma in your own company. On Monday, you put it into practice.

Curriculum

Three terms, from January to December, with more than 240 sessions

Each term completes one layer of learning: the fundamentals, the functional areas of management and the general management perspective.

The fundamentals: understanding the business, its numbers and its people.

Direct dialogue with CEOs and business owners

In the classroom, business models, mistakes, lessons learned and future strategies are discussed directly with the people who experienced them.

Leading the functional areas and connecting the value proposition with strategy.

Flexible without compromising rigor

Designed to fit your professional reality without lowering the standard: 12 months compatible with your work commitments.

Take on the CEO’s perspective, integrate purpose and sustainability, and plan the company’s future five years ahead.

Cases written in Spanish

San Telmo is one of the business schools that produces the most cases in Spanish: close-to-home contexts that are relevant and highly current.

Can I combine the MBA with my job?

Yes. The Executive MBA is designed specifically for working professionals with experience and responsibility for managing people, projects, clients, budgets or processes. It is a demanding program, but also flexible and designed to fit the professional reality of its participants.

The program runs over 12 months, with more than 240 training sessions, and is structured so that you can continue your professional activity while you develop as a manager.

In addition, learning is closely linked to business reality: it is not about memorizing content, but about facing the situations and decisions an executive encounters every day.

The process begins with a request for information and contact with the admissions team. The Executive MBA is aimed at university graduates with proven professional experience who have taken on significant responsibilities and want to make a qualitative leap in their careers.

Rather than looking for a specific academic profile, San Telmo looks for professionals with initiative, motivation to grow, the ability to work in teams and leadership potential, as well as the ability to make decisions with sound judgment.

The process therefore assesses both the candidate’s professional background and their motivation and fit with the philosophy and demands of the program.

The investment in the Executive MBA and the available financing options are explained individually during the admissions process. If you are considering the program, our team can advise you on the financial conditions and the options available to help you join.

The Executive MBA is taught on campus in Seville, at San Telmo Business School (Avda. de la Mujer Trabajadora, 1). If you are travelling from outside the city, we have agreements with hotels to make your stay easier.

The on-campus format is an important part of the experience: learning is built around the Case Method, with real business situations analysed, debated and decided in the classroom. This means you learn not only from the faculty, but also from the experience, perspectives and decisions of the other participants.
